Even after the Second World War, Franz Ronneberger remained closely associated with “Southeastern European Studies”.1 This is to be proven by the membership in numerous federations and associations.

In the course of his second academic career, Franz Ronneberger was a member, founding member and functionary of numerous respected communication societies, associations, university research organizations and media committees.2

  • Founding member of the Social Science Research Centre of the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg
  • Speaker of Collaborative Research Centre 22 (Socialisation and Communication Research) until 1975 and speaker of Collaborative Research Centre 18 (Southeastern Europe Research) until 1981
  • Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Kommunikationsforschung München (founding member and board member)
  • International Public Relations Association (Member)
